Solar panels are constructed from silicon material. Silicon is a mineral which transports electricity very well. Sunlight strikes the crystals, creating negatively charged electrons and positively-charged "holes" that cause a current to flow through silicon wafers between negative and positive layers. This flow of the electrons results in electricity. Then the electricity proceeds to an inverter and so on. The electricity is converted into a usable form of power that can be used in our homes or businesses, like lights and fridges etc., by the Inverter.
